Greening Greenburgh: Think Systematically, Act Collaboratively

Event Description:

"This event reflects Greenburgh's leadership in the county addressing climate change and sustainability. A large diverse town containing six villages, it is thinking systematically and working collaboratively within the Town to encourage energy efficiency and control green house gas emissions. This is a model for how the entire county and the entire region will need to work if we are to properly combat climate change and promote sustainability."

Sustainability experts including; Tria Case, Executive Director for the Center for Sustainable Energy and County Executive Andrew Spano will provide the most recent climate change realities, policies and legislation on federal, state & local levels.
Greenburgh's Climate Action Task Force will present an overview of the municipal Climate Action Plan for discussion. This event will provide an opportunity for elected officials, Board members and citizen activists who have a pulse on environmental issues in all villages within the Town of Greenburgh- Irvington, Tarrytown, Ardsley, Hastings, Elmsford and Dobbs Ferry and unincorporated to clearly learn who's who and who's doing what Town Wide on current and future climate protection strategies.
The program will begin PROMPTLY at 3pm.
Starting a 5pm there will be interactive discussions covering topics such as; enforcement, education, measuring progress and incentives.
There will be time for networking as it is a critical piece in moving forward with collaborative action from ALL folks interested in creating a healthy & vibrant sustainable community- economically and for overall civic well being.
We are working through an exciting time filled with potential, change & hope. Please join us to inspire or get inspired.
